"If Christ is to be Savior and Lord, a definite decision must be made. A tragic failure of many pastors and churches is the failure to confront men with the necessity of making a definite decision for Christ. Preaching which fails to confront hearers with the Person and claims of Christ in such a manner that decision becomes mandatory is altogether too vague and nebulous to accomplish the purpose of Him who is pleased by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe (1 Cor 1:21)…One cannot receive Christ as his personal Savior and Lord without a sincere intention to trust and follow Him always, through life into eternity. Any "faith in Christ" is completely insincere apart from such intention."
